“Most enjoyable day, excellent speakers especially keynote speaker who, despite being the after lunch session, kept us all wide awake and interested!” – Susan Harrigan

The first ever Management in Practice Newcastle conference took place last week at Newcastle Racecourse. The conference saw Practice Managers, Directors and Administrators attend the event, with sessions well attended throughout the day.

There was a full programme of engaging and thought provoking content this year, with a fantastic keynote speech, courtesy of former RAF fast jet pilot Mandy Hickson, as well as an excellent programme consisting of engaging and informative talks and presentations.

Other highlights included:

  • The opening session delivered by Dan Cowie exploring Sustainability and Transformation plans and their implications on general practice
  • Sessions covering a variety of topics including HR, bid writing and leadership
  • A panel discussion on collaborative working
  • A packed exhibition with a range of services and products available to improve your practice’s performance
